This cluster is designed to meet the needs of students who plan to enter agricultural sciences, conservation, or renewable resources. Students choosing this cluster will learn about such topics as energy, ecology, forestry, plant and animal science, and greenhouse management.

 

Forestry Technology 

720 Introduction to Forest Science

        This half-year course is designed to give a hands-on introduction to forestry and natural resource conservation.

721 Introduction to Plant Science

       This half-year course is designed for students who might be considering a career in some phase of plant production such as landscaping; greenhouse management; or crop, turf, or nursery production.

747 Forestry Technology (double period)

        This half-year course is designed to give a hands-on introduction to forestry and natural resource conservation.

777 Environmental  Studies/Outdoors Skills (double period)

        This full-year course is designed for students interested in the environmental sciences and natural resource management.

 

Horticulture Technology

735 Floral Design (semester one)

       This half-year double period Horticulture course is designed to prepare students for careers in the floral industry.

736 Greenhouse Management (semester two)

     This half-year double period  Horticulture course is designed to prepare students for careers in the greenhouse industry.

737 Landscape Design (semester one)

       This half-year Horticulture double-period course is designed to provide students with an introduction to the elements of design in the landscape industry.

738 Landscape Installation and Maintenance (semester two)

        This half-year double period Horticulture class is designed to prepare students for careers in the landscape industry, nursery management, and in the sale and marketing of related products and services.

 

Animal Science

721 Introduction to Animal Science

        This half-year course is designed for students who might be considering a career in some phase of animal science such as, animal training/management, veterinary science, or agribusiness.

799 Animal Science Management

        This half-year single period course is a continuation of Introduction to Animal Science.
