This cluster is designed to meet the needs of students who plan to enter health, human services, or personal service environments. Students will consider courses that study human services, early childhood education, behavioral sciences, health, medicine, nutrition and foods, together with the dynamics of communication and interaction.

 

Health Science and Technology 1(Full Year, Double Period)

761 Health Science and Technology 1 (double period) (formerly Allied Health)

        This full-year course is the first half of a 2-year program designed to help students explore medical/health career opportunities.

 

Health Science and Technology 2 (Full Year, Double Period)

        This full-year (2 credit) course is the second half of a 2-year program, and intensifies, follows through, and elaborates on material covered in Health Science and Technology 1.

762 Emergency Medical Services (EMT-B)

763 Licensed Nurse Assistant (LNA)

767 General Health Care

 

*Students completing EMT-B or LNA training will have the opportunity to take the state licensure/ certification test.
