The Pinkerton Academy Classical Society has endeavored to create its own,
in-school museum of artifacts from the ancient Mediterranean.
The aims of the collection are to educate students about daily life in Antiquity,
to reify Antiquity for students by providing a concrete and immediate connection to the ancient world,
and to spark ethical debate about archaeology and the collection of antiquities.
The pieces are acquired through club dues and fundraising dividends, as well as by community donor support.
Our Antiquarium is graciously housed in Pinkerton's Saltmarsh Library.
