GENERAL RULES FOR SATURDAY DETENTION
Receiving A Saturday Detention
- Saturday detention
may be issued only by an administrator who will provide a minimum of 48
hours’ notice to a student's parents.
- Saturday detention
will be assigned at the discretion of the Assistant Principal based on the
severity of the infraction. A Saturday detention maybe assigned in place of
a regular weekday detention.
- Students are
responsible for providing their own transportation to and from the
detention.
- In the event of
inclement weather, cancellations to Saturday detention will be announced in
the same manner as school cancellation announcements.
- Saturday detentions
do not eliminate previously assigned detentions, (with the exception of
previously assigned missed detentions). Students will still need to
serve any outstanding weekday detentions.
Attendance and Location

is held in the senior cafeteria in the
Arts & Humanities
Center.
- Saturday detention
is from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

result in a three-day suspension.

detention, without prior administrative approval or appropriate
medical, dental or legal documentation, will result in a three-day
suspension. Documentation must be provided no later than 7:30 a.m. on the
Monday following the assigned detention.
- If absent on the
Friday before the assigned Saturday detention, students must contact their
administrator that Friday before the end of the school day to discuss their
detention if they feel they will miss Saturday detention for medical/other
reasons (see above).
