Adding an event to the calendar |
REMEMBER: You can only
add events to this calendar if you have been given
permission to do so. If you have permission, you will see
the "Add Event" button at the top of the page.

There are three ways to add an event to the calendar: |

To add an event by clicking the date of the event... |

Click the date link.
The number of each day on the calendar is a link.
Click the number of the day to which you want to add
an event. This will take you to the list of events
for that day.

Click
the "Add Event" button.
This button is at the top of the event list page. |

Name the event, select a category, and decide whether
to put a copy in other groups.
Enter a title for the event in the "Title" field.
Next, select the category for this event. If you wish to
create a specific type of event (for example, an
Assignment), choose that category. This event will now be
categorized as an Assignment and will appear in the
Assignments folder. Otherwise, choose Uncategorized Event.
If you are a member of other groups where you have the Super
User permission, then you can put a copy of this event in
those group calendars as well. Just select them from the
"Other Groups" field. For details, see the help for the
Create Event Page.

are finished. |

Type a description or upload a document with the
description.
Edline has created and saved a blank event with the name you
chose in the previous step. An event is really just a
document, so for the description you can either type text in
directly or upload an existing .html file. For details, see
the help for the
Modify Document Page.
