Week #6

 Varsity:

The Varsity boys enjoyed some success last week on the pitch. On Tuesday, they traveled to Hampton and played Winnacunnet. The Astros handled the Warriors by a 4-1 count. Sophomore Alex Germaine (2 goals), Senior Jordan Ward and Senior Colby Pooler found the back of the net for Pinkerton.

On Friday, the Astros battled one of the top programs in the State. Exeter came to Derry and Pinkerton was able to seal a 1-0 victory on a goal by Junior Corey Grant (assisted by Omar Khartabil).

“Exeter is one of the best teams in the State at this point and we were able to compete with them. This was a very good result for us as we gear up for the tournament. Chris Doyle played a tremendous game in net.” Coach Boles.

Jordan Ward: 10 goals

Alex Germaine: 8 goals, 3 assists

Jon Wood: 5 goals

Junior Varsity:

The JV team continued their winning ways by defeating Winnacunnet by a score of 7-0 and then taking care of Exeter 1-0. In the Winnacunnet game, Mark Mangini (2 goals each), Ryan McMullen and Cooper Woodruff scored the Pinkerton goals.

On Friday, Exeter visited Pinkerton and PA earned a hard fought victory. Brendan Stack scored the only goal of the game.

Tyler Pacheco earned both shutouts.

The JV Astros record stands at 9-3.
