Varsity:

The Varsity boys had another solid week of soccer last week. On Tuesday, the Astros traveled to Hudson to take on Alvirne. Pinkerton was able to score early and often as they cruised to a 7-1 triumph. The Astros received goals from Jordan Ward (2 goals), Josh DiPirro (2 goals), Cory Woods, Corey Grant, and Omar Khartabil.

 

On Friday, the Astros hosted the Concord Crimson Tide. The Astros received goals from Alex Germaine and Jordan Ward as they were able to hang on to win 2-1.

 

“This was another big test for us as we gear up for the tournament. I’m sure we will see Concord again, maybe in the second round of the tournament”, Coach Kerry Boles.

 

The Astros record now stands at 14-0-0. 

 

Leading Scorers:

Omar Khartabil: 8 goals, 11 assists

Jordan Ward: 13 goals

   Alex Germaine: 10 goals, 3 assists

Jon Wood: 5 goals

Josh DiPirro 6 goals, 7 assists

Junior Varsity:

 

The JV team continued their winning ways by defeating Alvirne by a score of 5-0 and then taking care of Concord 3-2. In the Alvirne game, Scott Saucier (2 goals), Mike LaGasse, Mark Mangini scored the goals.

 

Tyler Pacheco earned the shutout in goal.

 

On Friday, Pinkerton played a tough Concord squad and PA earned a hard fought victory. The Pinkerton goals were scored by Brendan Stack, Nick Cookson and Cooper Woodruff.

 

The JV Astros record stands at 11-3.

Freshman:

The Freshman team continues it great season as they have registered four victories in the last four games.

 

The results are:

         PA 3   Salem 0

         PA 3   St. Thomas 0

         PA 8   Winnacunnet 0

         PA 3   Timberlane 1

 

The following players scored goals in those games:

Nick Herzog (9 goals), Nick Valentine (2 goals), Max Jendrick (2 goals), Trevor Carignan, Conor McCarthy, Scott Cote, Dylan Schmertzler.

 

The Freshman record stands at 12-1.
